SUCCESSFUL CONSULTATION HOMES IN ON TELFORD
04/04/06
Over 380 Telford residents recently turned out at Lawley Community Centre to find out more about the Lawley scheme - a key project for national regeneration agency Homes and Communities Agency – which will see more than 3,300 new homes, offices, restaurants, bars, a primary school, parkland and shops created across a 135ha site.
Developers responsible for delivering the new Lawley scheme, including Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon Homes and Barratt Homes, along with architects and remediation specialists, shared their visions for the venture at a community consultation event.
Lucy Allwood, manager for Homes and Communities Agency said: "We are delighted that the community turned out in such strong numbers to hear about our future plans for Lawley. It is one of Homes and Communities Agency' regional priority programmes and will set national standards on how a large sustainable community can be designed, created and integrated with an existing town."
