Ironstone, being closely associated with Telford, is easily connected by road to the West Midlands via three junctions on the M54. This in turn links the area to the M6 and recently opened M6 Toll, as well as the rest of the motorway network, including Birmingham, which is approximately 30 miles away.

Telford is one of England’s fastest growing urban centres. Homes and Communities Agency is working alongside the Borough of Telford & Wrekin to spearhead a sustainable development strategy for Ironstone. This will deliver in excess of 3,300 new homes over 15 to 20 years.

Ironstone is the Housing and Communities Agency’s biggest project to date in the Midlands — the site presents an unrivalled opportunity to create a new, vibrant and sustainable community in Telford.
