St Bartholomew's Day Celebrations

St Bartholomew's Day was traditionally celebrated on this day at Smithfield in London between 1133 and 1855 and in other parts of the country until the 1880s when most events died out.

The celebrations will take the form of street theatre and traditional drop-in workshops.

The Teddy Bears will once again be making their annual visit to the railway.

This year they have asked if they can be more involved so instead of just sitting watching the trains and having their picnic they will be around the site interacting with our visitors.
Sweets will be given to children bringing their own Teddy.

Coracle Regatta

The Coracle Regatta now holds an established place in the Ironbridge calendar attracting coraclers from all over the country.

There will be sprint races, relays, the highly competitive coracle polo match and other daft games. Be prepared to get wet!
The Regatta is also a lovely day out, with stalls and activities and the chance to have a go yourself. You are welcome to bring your own coracle if you have one.
