English Partnerships is the national regeneration agency, helping to support high quality sustainable growth in England. We do this by:

  • Developing our portfolio of strategic sites
  • Acting as the Government’s specialist advisor on brownfield land
  • Ensuring that surplus Government land is used to support wider Government objectives, especially the Sustainable Communities Plan
  • Helping to create communities where people can afford to live and want to live
  • Supporting the urban renaissance by improving the quality of our towns and cities

This project in Telford will form one of the largest and most exciting development projects being planned in England today. The project reflects English Partnerships’ commitment to sustainable regeneration — working with local authorities and local residents to drive forward long term, environmentally sound solutions which support the needs of communities across the UK. Lawley is a national example of best practice in sustainable growth and a model for the design of other urban extensions across the country. This exemplary scheme has been masterplanned in close consultation with the local community, key stakeholders and consultants via the highly inclusive Enquiry by Design process. This process ensures that participants have a real ‘hands on’ approach to shaping the future of the area in order to create a safe, healthy and inclusive environment that will meet the needs of existing and future generations.
